Additionally, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), while often diagnosed in childhood, continues to affect teens, characterized by difficulty paying attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, which can interfere with academic performance, social interactions, and self-esteem.

The pervasive influence of social media can foster feelings of inadequacy and social comparison, while cyberbullying presents a growing threat and necessitates Teen Trauma Recovery programs or Youth Recovery Programs far too often. Academic pressures, driven by high expectations, can induce significant stress and #anxiety. Unstable or conflicted family dynamics can also negatively impact a teen’s emotional well-being. Hormonal changes during adolescence contribute to mood swings and emotional volatility, and the chronic lack of sleep, which is particularly detrimental for teens who require more sleep than adults, can exacerbate existing mental health issues.
